a great day out meeting up with long lost friends in the Austin movement and the meeting of new friends
some 360 cars attended the event starting at Epsom Downs in Surrey with cars coming from Germany - Jersey - and the Isle of Wight and Cornwall and Devon
21 S.A.O.C members went on the run some helping out as marshalls at the start before going on the run in their Austins

Heathside on the 217 Brighton Road Tadworth in Surrey KT20 6BW
MEETING AT 7.30 PM the restaurant does a wide selection of meals including vegetarian meals, we were hoping to give menus on Monday the 2nd but due to the adverse weather conditions here in Surrey the monday meeting had to be cancelled. so hope see you all there ."

| A Week end S.A.O.C club social trip via Eurostar |
devil warrior writes "on the back of the success of the Bruges trip Brian Gundry is trying to arrange a long weekend in Lille in France on the first weekend in September 2008 to take advantage of the "Grande Braderie", travel will be again by Eurostar and he is looking to make it between the 4th and 8th.
At the moment it is not possible to give any idea of cost due to the fact it is impossible to book on Eurostar more than 120 days before travel. this makes the earliest booking availability something like the 7th of May.
if any club member is intrested in participating, would they kindly let Brian know (telephone number in front of newsletter) by the end of February so that he can get a rough idea of numbers, so that he can shop around to get the best prices etc. As soon as he is able to put a cost on this project he will inform the people that are interested, the earlier he can confirm bookings the better it will be."
